Obituary of Donald Lee Hall
Donald “Don” Lee Hall, 90, of Bloomington went home to be with his Messiah on Friday, June 4, 2021 in Golden Living Center. He was born February 11, 1931 in Monroe County to Floyd Hall and Ethel Hardin Hall. He had worked in construction. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Carolyn Doub Hall of Bloomington; three daughters, Karen (Raymond) Chapman of Bloomington, Linda (companion Tommy Hutchison) Hutchison of Solsberry and Loretta (Tom) Muir of Thayer, IL; a sister, Carolyn Hill of Bloomington; a brother, Fred (Georgianna) Hall of Oolitic; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; a granddog, Rosie; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Thelma Hall; a son, Donnie Hall; a step son, Brian Doub; two sisters, Mildred Moore and Charlotte Owings; a brother, Wesley “Buck” Hall; a great granddaughter, Brieanna Chapman; and his father and mother-in-law, James and Clara Doub. Don was a member of the Henderson Street Pentecostal Church, he also loved visiting other Pentecostal Churches when he could. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening (he grew beautiful tomatoes), watching basketball and visiting the sick and shut ins. Don had served in the Indiana National Guard. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 1:00 PM in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, 700 W Gourley Pike, with Pastors Donald Lane and Mark Siscoe officiating, burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Visitation is scheduled 2 hours prior to services on Friday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. If friends so desire, Memorial Contributions may be made to the church of the givers choice.
