OBITUARY
Moses Bea Blazier
29 January, 1925 – 15 November, 2020
Moses Bea Blazier, 95, of Evansville, IN passed away Nov. 15, 2020 from COVID-19. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Cuma (Lamont) Blazier.
Bea graduated from Carmi Township H.S. He was a member of Howell United Methodist Church since 1957, lifetime member of the V.F.W., past member of So. IN. Officials Assn., past President of Tri-State Umpire’s Assn., and a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Bea served in the Navy in the South Pacific in WWII where he participated in the invasions of Okinawa, Kwajlein, Eniwetok and Iwo Jima, and witnessed the flag raising there on Mt. Surbachi. Bea worked for over 30 years at Bristol Meyers Squibb and retired in 1987.
He is survived by his daughter, Pat Wilson (Jack) and son, Stan Blazier (Kim); grandchildren , Sarah DeMare (Dan), Kyle Wilson, Troy Blazier (Turran) and Alex Blazier; six great-grandchildren; and Bea’s brother, Rev. Robert Blazier (Edith).
Bea’s cheerful demeanor and sweet spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family is holding a private burial service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Howell United Methodist Church. Condolences may be made online at www.AlexanderWestChapel.com.

Pat, Stan and families...so sorry and our prayers are with you all. Uncle Bea was a treasure for sure and will really be missed but the wonderful memories will remain forever. We can't think of a family get together or special occasion that he and Aunt Cuma weren't there for...very dedicated and special to all of us. Love and hugs...hope to see you soon. i'm so glad we got to talk a couple of weeks ago. I'm glad we got to enjoy those good old fashioned gospel hymns that enjoyed so many times in the past. i am certain that your family is aware of that.

What an amazing man. The great memories I have of "Grandpa Bea" will last a life-time. I feel very fortunate to have known and spent time with him. My sincere condolences go out to my dear friend Alex and the rest of the Blazier family. Gone, but never forgotten.
