Janis B. Ealing

Janis B. Ealing, 95, of Fort Wayne, passed away at Ossian Health Care & Rehabilitation Center on Saturday, February 16, 2019. Janis was born on February 15, 1924 in Belmore, Ohio, a daughter of the late Elmer Leroy and Viola Ann (Wallen) Parker. Janis worked at General Electric on Taylor Street for 35 years before retiring in June of 1986. She will be remembered as a great mother and grandmother. She was an active member at her church, Liberty Mills Church of the Nazarene, serving on my boards and committees. She enjoyed baking and making candy much of which she shared with family, friends, and coworkers. Janis is survived by her husband, Earl Ealing, whom she married on September 16,1950; daughter, Pamela (Kevin) Gibson of Ossian; son, Richard (Susan) Ealing of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Christine Dinges of Pennsylvania, Jennifer Pasos of Oklahoma, Erick Gibson of Ossian, Andrea Nurmi of Virginia; and nine great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Beth Ealing. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be left to Heart to Heart Hospice.
