Phyllis E. Spicer, 98, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Heritage Park, Fort Wayne. Born March 30, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Lorin A. and Gladys (Haines) Snyder. She graduated from Columbia City High School. Phyllis loved to fish, camp, garden, sew, knit and crochet. She excelled at cooking and loved to have family over for large home cooked meals. She was active in the Noble County Alzheimer’s Association, Homemaking Club, History Club and Noble County Genealogical Society. She always loved friends to drop in for a visit. Phyllis spent many weekends with her grandkids, teaching them to make noodles, cookies, or anything else they showed interest in. Surviving are her son, Paul (Carol) Spicer; grandchildren, Eric, Jarrid (Emily), Sarah (Weston) Kruckeberg, Joseph (Amanda), and Amy (Erik) Drummond; and nine great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Karl J. Spicer; and son, John N. Spicer. A private memorial service for immediate family will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021.
