Martha Alice Alexander Good

Martha Alice Alexander Good, 101, a resident of Mt. Sidney, passed away at her home on Friday, April 24, 2015. She was born on March 8, 1914 in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late Oscar and Carrie Sheets Alexander. Martha was a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church in Fishersville. She was employed at Genesco before retiring. On November 4, 1933, she married Martin Luther Good, Sr., who preceded her in death on December 15, 1981. She is survived by a daughter, Betty G. Almarode of Mt. Sidney; five sons, Donald A. Good of Grottoes, Norman E. Good of Mt. Sidney, Martin L. Good, Jr., of Fort Defiance, D. Samuel Good of Lowell, Mass., and Gary A. Good of Staunton; twelve grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. Friends may sign the register book at the Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg on Monday April 27, from 9:00 – 5:00 pm. The casket will be closed. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery with Pastor Bill Johnson officiating.
