Dorothy "Dot" E. Kilgus

Dorothy "Dot" E. Kilgus, 100, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019. Dot was born on February 27, 1919 in Columbus, IN to the late James and Florence (Parr) Kutche. She was an experienced seamstress, a dedicated caregiver, and everyone's best friend. Dot was very good natured and loved everyone. She spent her life taking care of her grandkids and helped anywhere it was needed. Dot is survived by her children, Patricia Wetzel, Carl J. Kilgus, Anthony Kilgus, Michelle (Anwar) Kakish; grandchildren, Wendy (Larry) King, Robert Wetzel Jr., Steven Wetzel, Issa Kakish, Sarah Kakish; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Wilbur Kutche, Gloria Jacobs, Joyce Ach, June Brooks, and Donald (Martha) Kutche; and a host of relatives and friends. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl N. Kilgus; son-in-law, Robert Wetzel; siblings, Kenneth Webb, Jeanette Reece, George Kutche, and Leonard "Star" Kutche. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior at Greenlawn Funeral Home (6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804). Visitation will also be on Monday, May 6, 2019 at the funeral home from 4:00 pm to 7:00pm. Burial will follow the service at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
