Christopher Sidney Burleigh

Christopher Sidney Burleigh, 94, of Lynchburg passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at his residence. Born in Amherst County, January 12, 1925, he was the son of the late Christopher and Clara Jennings Burleigh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Elizabeth Almond, Hazel Burford, Catherine Burleigh, and Lucille Burleigh , all of Lynchburg. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2019 at Spring Hill Cemetery with Pastor Bill Johnson of Stuarts Draft officiating. The family would like to thank his caregiver Evelyn Distelhurst and son Mark and their family, for the loving care they bestowed on him the last several years of his life. Also thank you to Wall Residences Staff for the great care and assistance you gave Chris his final years. You are greatly appreciated !
