Obituary of Christopher Lee Reinstadtler

IN THE CARE OF

Murphy Funeral Homes

Chris was a loving, committed and faithful husband, a responsible and wonderful father who delighted in his children, the greatest dad his kids could ever wish for, a caring son, a beloved sibling, and a loyal friend. He was taken much too soon. He was a good, kind and respectful person with a beautiful sincere soul and heart. He devoted his career to contributing to end poverty, to equality, justice and essentially a better and fairer world. He had a 20 year career making life better for people in developing countries such as Jordan, Trinidad, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria and Afghanistan. Most recently he worked as a Senior Advisor/ Program Manager for a U.S. Department of Defense program. He was a triathlete who lived a healthy lifestyle, always upbeat, positive, on the move and active. He loved skiing, hiking, swimming, traveling, and most of all spending time with his family. The death of a good person like Chris is very disorienting, unfathomable, senseless and sad. His wife Mary feels blessed that he showed her what true love means and gave her the gift of two beautiful, wonderful, kind, smart children, whom he loved so much and would do anything for. He would go any mile necessary to ensure the best he could for his family. The girls miss him so much and would rather have their dad doing great dad activities with them and being a wonderful father here on earth. He is now their guardian angel in heaven. He is survived by his wife Mary Claire Odong Reinstadtler, his daughters Eleanor (5) and Skylar (3), his mother Caroline Borden Reinstadtler, his siblings Martha Reinstadter Jones, Tommy Reinstadtler, Alec Reinstadter, Steve Reinstadtler, Kathy Reinstadtler Iversen, and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and cousins. He will forever be remembered as a dear son, brother, relative, friend and colleague. We all feel very honored and grateful to have known Chris. There is so much to admire about him and aspire to as a result. He was indeed one of a kind. Please keep Christopher and his family in your prayers. May Chris’ soul rest in eternal peace. An education fund has been set up for Eleanor and Skylar. The family asks that donations to the education fund be made in lieu of sending flowers. Contribution checks can be made out to Edward Jones FBO Eleanor and Skylar Reinstadtler and mailed to Martha Jones, 18 Sommer Avenue, Maplewood, NJ 07040. To make an electronic donation, please email his sister Martha Reinstadtler Jones for instructions at [email protected].
