Lois I. Dougherty

Lois I. Dougherty, 98, of Beech Grove, passed away on June 5, 2021. Lois was born to the late John and Mable Moore on August 10, 1922. Lois was spunky, proud and witty! She loved her sports and especially the Indianapolis Colts and Pacers. She loved to dance, travel, bake, and paint. She had a very keen sense of adventure and even took a hot air balloon ride on her 96th birthday. Even as she got older she loved keeping up with friends and family via social media. She enjoyed golf, boating, playing cards, bowling, basketball and gardening. She loved football most and even won her Fantasy Football League a few years back! She loved spending time with her family and was as sharp as a tack till the very end. Lois is survived by her children; Darleen (Ron) Liebert, Ronald (Debbie) Dougherty, Thomas (Marsha) Dougherty, Terry (John) Burris and Debra (Chris) Viles along with 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 71 years; Norman E. Dougherty and her 5 siblings and spouses. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 12:00pm-2:00pm at Little and Sons Beech Grove Chapel. A Celebration of Life service will be immediately following at the Funeral Home.
