Obituary of Kathryn Louise Cuttriss
Kathryn “Louise” Cuttriss, 98, Kokomo, Indiana, passed away at 11:40 pm on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at her home surrounded by family. She was born August 16, 1922 in Kokomo. She was the daughter of the late Bill and Lucy Comer. On June 6, 1943, in Kokomo, at South Side Christian Church, she married Alan Cuttriss, who preceded her in death. Louise graduated from Kokomo High School in 1940. She was a lifelong member of Southside Christian Church where she was an active member of her women’s bible circle. She retired as a line supervisor from General Motors. Alan and Louise retired to Palmetto, Florida where she opened her home to her family and friends who enjoyed spending time together and making memories at the beach. Her family was her priority and she was intentional about making everyone feel special by hosting family gatherings, grandchildren slumber parties, picnics and movie nights at Delco Park, beach vacations, and girl trips. If you could not come visit her she would come and visit you. Alan and Louise returned to Kokomo in 2000 and she loved to say, “There is no place like Kokomo.” She had the gift of hospitality and everyone was welcome. She enjoyed cooking, reading, crossword puzzles, card games and sports, but most importantly her family that span five generations. She was a good friend with a servant’s heart and people were naturally drawn to her. Louise is survived by her children, daughter Vicki Berry (Roger Berry), son Joseph B. Cuttriss and daughter Kathryn Kirk (David Kirk); her nine grandchildren, Kelly Karickhoff, Stacy Odell, Wendy Johnson, Anthony Obermeyer, Nicolas Cuttriss, Perri Cuttriss, Andrea Robertson, Benjamin Ousley, and Isaac Ousley; 20 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1-3 p.m., Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Southside Christian Church, 201 E.
