Marjorie Ann Trowbridge

Marjorie Ann Trowbridge passed away peacefully on June 10, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 2, 1933 in Wallingford, Connecticut where she graduated from Lyman Hall H.S. and Connecticut State Teachers College. In 1956 her 63 year marriage to CDR Charles Trowbridge, USN Ret. Navy, began as they enjoyed the adventures of Navy life. Marjorie's love of teaching was evident as she utilized her Masters in Early Education in her 20 year tenure at Accotink Academy in West Springfield, Virginia. In her retirement she enjoyed traveling and golfing with her friends. Marjorie is survived by her husband Charles Trowbridge, Daughter's Melissa Trowbridge and Krista Ripper; Son Brett Trowbridge; and Granddaughter's Lea and Sasha Ripper. She is preceded in death by her son Jeff Trowbridge, U.S. Navy and her sister Ruth Dahill. Visitation Services to be held at Demaine Funeral Home in Springfield, Virginia on Thursday July 1 from 4:30-6:30. Burial at Arlington National Cemetery to be determined.
