Rosa Virginia Clem "Jinnie" McDorman
August 16, 1925 – August 26, 2013

Rosa Virginia “Jinnie” McDorman, 88, a resident of Shenandoah passed away on Monday, August 26, 2013 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Quicksburg, VA, on August 16, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Amos Lee and Rosella Lloyd Clem.
Jinnie lived the majority of her life in Shenandoah. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and the Women of the Moose. She was employed at the Knitting Mill and Genie Plant, formerly Alliance Manufacturing. She retired from Genie after 32 years.
On March 20, 1943 she married Harry Lee “Cheese” McDorman, who preceded her in death on January 17, 1999.
She is survived by seven children, Harry F. McDorman of Shenandoah, Amos L. McDorman and companion, Jean Moyers, of Harrisonburg, Sandra V. McDorman of Harrisonburg, and friend of the family, Wendy Bartos, Rose Hensley and husband, Rev. Larry Hensley, of Elkton, Sharon “Sherrie” K. Derrow and husband, Kent, of Elkton, Teina M. Merica and husband, Eddie, of Shenandoah, and Jenny L. Meadows and husband, Rodney of McGaheysville; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was preceded in death by a daughter in law, Barbara McDorman.
The family will receive friend 7-9:00 PM, Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Christ United Methodist Church.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 29, at the church with Rev. Stephen Creech officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Community Cemetery.
