James Sean Vogeley

James “Sean” Vogeley, age 56, of Arlington, VA, passed away June 26, 2020. Survived by son Daniel, granddaughter Aralyn, sisters Reta, Patty, and Taffy; and brothers Chuck and Tim. Born August 21, 1963 on Tachikawa AFB, Japan. Sean moved to Arlington in 1964 attended Jamestown Elementary, Williamsburg Middle, and Yorktown High School. Sean joined the Navy at 17 and served as an aviation mechanic on aircraft carrier USS Nimitz. During his enlistment, he traveled extensively through the Caribbean, Europe, and the Mediterranean. Though small in stature, Sean’s gregarious personality could fill a room. He was a lover of animals, an avid angler, and accomplished harmonica player. Sean was never one to shy away from a good time, be it Fourth of July crab feasts, Thanksgiving, or Arylan’s school performances; he always made time for his family.
