Margaret J. Brandenburg

Margaret “Peg” J. Brandenburg, 94, of Liberty, died Friday afternoon, July 24, at her residence surrounded by her family. Margaret was born in Butler County, Ohio on March 30, 1926, to D.M. and Essie Killough Wisecup. Margaret graduated from Short High School in 1944 and furthered her education at Indiana Central College in Indianapolis. She married Earl W. Brandenburg on December 26, 1946. Margaret worked in the insurance business alongside her husband, Earl at the Brandenburg Insurance Agency from 1949 until her retirement in 1995. Margaret is survived by her daughter: Sandy Webb of Liberty; grandchildren: Amie Rosenberger and her husband Andy; Tyler Webb and his wife Ali, all of Liberty; great grandchildren: Andrew William Rosenberger, William Darien Webb, Liam David Hall, Shayne Louise Webb; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years: Earl Brandenburg; sons: Larry Brandenburg, James Brandenburg; brother: Hubert Wisecup; Infant sister; son-in-law: William Webb. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2020, at Brownsville United Methodist Church Cemetery, in Brownsville, Indiana. Shelly Dodson will be officiating. The family has asked memorial contributions be made to Greenwood United Methodist Church.
