Euell Dwayne Hickam

Euell Dwayne Hickam was born on February 16, 1925 in San Angelo, Texas. He passed away on May 20, 2019 in Abilene, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie; his parents, Walter and Ethel Hickam; one son Michael; four brothers, and two sisters. Euell is survived by two sons: Jack Hickam of California; and Dwayne Hickam of Idaho; one daughter Anna Natille of California. He is also survived by one brother, Manuel Hickam of Abilene, Texas. Euell was blessed with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Euell served the United States of America in World War II and in the Korean War, serving on the USS Tulia. He was of the Baptist faith. A visitation is scheduled from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 US Hwy 277 South, Abilene, TX 79606 followed by a graveside service at 1:00pm at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 7457 W. Lake Rd, Abilene, TX 79601. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Meals on Wheels.
