Jim Ungvary

It is with great sadness that the Ungvary family announces the loss of their beloved husband, father, uncle and friend James (Jim) Francis Ungvary who died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 1st, 2019. Jim was born on January 15, 1955 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. He was a native of Woodbridge, New Jersey and he met the love of his life, Olga (Diaz) Ungvary, by whom he is survived, while attending the University of Miami. They later moved to Altamonte Springs, FL where they proudly raised their two children, Pamela Lynn and Mark Alexander. Jim was an avid cook, enjoyed riding his motorcycle, going to the beach, and fishing. He watched Jeopardy daily and often sat outside during nice weather to relax while enjoying a drink and cigar. He was also longtime employee of Mears Transportation, Inc. in Orlando, where he was a Human Resources Manager. He will be lovingly remembered by his best friend and wife of 40 years, Olga and his children, Pamela and Mark (Pikki). Jim will also be fondly remembered by his sister, {Judith A. Coleman}, mother-in-law {Elva C. Suarez}, sister and brother-in-laws {Rosie Devine (Joseph), Jennifer Griffin (Michael), Jenny Zegarra (Ricardo), Rodolfo Diaz (Orietta), Augusto Diaz}, nieces {Jean M. Coleman (Peter DiBattiste), Jennifer Nichole Griffin, Roxanna Diaz, Rosseline Diaz, and Laritza Diaz}, and nephews {Gonzalo Zegarra, Diego Zegarra (Nicole)}, great nieces and nephews {Allison Smith, Graham Smith, Katalina Zegarra and Maximo Zegarra} and extended family, neighbors and dear friends. He is preceded in death by parents, {Frank Joseph Ungvary and Ethel Madeline Ungvary}. Funeral services and mass will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, June 8th at St Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 861 Maitland Avenue, Altamonte Springs. Friends may call at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 90 Weathersfield Ave, Altamonte Springs, on Friday, June 7th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. where the family welcomes everyone to speak, share personal stories, and fond memories of Jim in honor and celebration of his life.
