Jan McClain

Jan Renee Roberts McClain, 64 of Amarillo, TX died September 16, 2019 in Dallas, TX. A celebration of life will be held Friday September 27, 2019 at 2 P.M. at Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors 5400 Bell St. Amarillo, TX 79109; with Pastor Jerry Davey officiating Jan was born June 13, 1955 in Chicago, IL at the Great Lakes Naval Hospital to Willis and Margaret Roberts. She married Rick McClain February 3, 2001 in Las Vegas, NV. Jan was a registered nurse at NWTH for 21 years. She was a phenomenal bowler and traveled with her team to the state bowling tournament several different years. Jan also loved to travel. Las Vegas was her favorite destination. In Jan’s words “The slot machines were always calling her name.” There was not a Jackpot Party machine she did not conquer. She always kept close the animals so dear to her. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, Brett & Haley. She enjoyed following them around watching their various sporting events whenever possible. She was proceeded in death by both her parents and her brother Mark Roberts. Jan is survived by her husband Rick, two daughters Danielle Taff and husband Matt, and Shay White and her two grandchildren Brett Taff and wife Jaylin and Haley Taff.
