Nellie Brown

Nellie Jane (Morrison) was born July 9, 1921 on the family farm near Big Beaver. She grew up in the Big Beaver area with six brothers and two sisters. She attended Strawberry Coulee School. Jim and Nellie were married on June 18, 1946 in Plentywood, Montana. After their marriage, they lived in Ogema, Bengough and Roche Perce, returning to the Big Beaver district to farm then moved to Big Beaver. Jim and Nellie moved to Regina in 1962. Nellie loved lawn bowling, playing cards and knitting. She moved to Innisfail, Alberta in 2009 where she enjoyed the activities in her senior home up to the last few months. Nellie passed away July 19, 2019.Graveside service for Nellie was held at the Big Beaver Cemetery, Big Beaver, SK on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 1:00 pm. Fellowship and lunch followed at the Big Beaver Drop-In-Centre. Arrangements entrusted to Ross Funeral Service, Assiniboia, SK.
