Arthur Ronald Jackson

With sadness the family of Arthur Ronald Jackson announce his peaceful passing on Tuesday, November 6th, 2018 at the age of 88. He was the beloved husband of the late Joyce Evelyn (nee McKee). A devoted father cherished by Nyrie (John Stockton), Brad (Lauren McFarlane), Laurie (the late Luigi DiNicolantonio) and Janice Caudill. He was a proud grandfather who will be lovingly remembered by David (Kaitlin), Mark, Tim (Tricia), Peter, Kelly, Max, Thomas, Caleigh, John, Natasha, Jason and great granddaughter Ella. Ron will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Dad was born and raised in Toronto by his parents Albert and Grace. He went to what once was, Ryerson Technological Institute to be trained as a draftsperson/cartographer. Subsequently, Ron secured employment at Imperial Oil where he had many fond memories of his days working there for 35 years, including meeting the love of his life, Joyce. Together they raised a family as they moved to London then Chatham, returning to Toronto. As a team they cultivated many strong friendships through work, neighbours and travel and maintained those relationships throughout the years. A heartfelt thanks to the caring and compassionate Rosie who cared for Dad during his lodging at Rouge Valley Extendicare. A private family gathering will be held at Thompson Funeral Home in Aurora to celebrate his life. If desired, memorial donations made to Wounded War Canada would be appreciated.
