Michael Phillip Cannatti

Michael Phillip Cannatti passed away on April 17, 2019 from complications due to an automobile accident. Mike was born on June 25, 1948 to Mary and Rocco Cannatti in Youngstown, Ohio.
He leaves behind his beloved children: son Chris Cannatti and his “main man” and “best bud” grandson Steve; his daughters Carrie and husband Derek Kistler, and Courtney “Coco” Cannatti; as well his former spouse Joan Cannatti. He also leaves his brother Dr. Lou Cannatti and spouse Karen; his sisters Tippi and husband John Boris, and Mary Lou and husband Paul Bevilacqua; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Mike attended St. Joe’s Catholic School, Ursuline High School and graduated from Youngstown State University in Ohio with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations where he played for the university’s golf team.
He was a golf professional at Youngstown Country Club in Ohio and began working in real estate and mortgage banking after his move to Texas. Mike was the President of Austin Mortgage and Trust, served as President of the Austin Mortgage Bankers Association, and was a long-time member of the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association. His favorite times were spent at the Great Hills Country Club where he also served as a President and member of the board of directors.
He will forever be remembered as respected mentor, colleague, and friend; but above all as loving father and grandpa.
