Andrew Strydhorst

Mr. Andy Strydhorst, of Neerlandia Alberta, went to be with his Lord as a result of cancer and its complications on June 15, 2018 at the age of 70 years. He is survived by his loving family: Donna, wife of 47 years; daughter Melanie (Allen) Plantinga of High Level AB; son Shane (Sheri) of Neerlandia AB; daughter Amanda (Mike) Morgan of High Level AB; daughter Erin (Nathaniel) Dykstra of Abbotsford BC. Grandchildren: Spencer & Andrew Plantinga; Sarina Strydhorst; Jake Morgan; Shayla, Asher, & Aden Dykstra. Sisters: Jennie Veenstra; Anne (Clarence) Tiemstra; Alice (Andy) Elgersma; Bertha (Bert) Janssen; Gladys (Art) Reitsma. Brothers: Henry (Sandra); James (Reta); John (Margaret); Jacob (Sya);Cor (Bertha); Ken (Brenda); sister-in-law Pat; as well as numerous other family and many dear friends. Andy was predeceased by: his parents, Henry & Gladys Strydhorst; brother-in-law, Arend Veenstra; and brother, George. Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 11AM at Neerlandia Christian Reformed Church with Pastor Art Verboon officiating. Interment will follow in the Neerlandia cemetery. Lunch will follow interment. Donations are gratefully accepted to Cross Cancer Institute.
