Richard ANDERSON

November 7, 1955May 29, 2019

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard "Rick" Anderson on May 29th, 2019 at the age of 63 years. Rick will be forever missed by his wife of 35 years, Kim; son, Glen; sister, Karen (Malcolm) Hall; nephew, Michael; niece, Jennifer (Jesse) and his grandnieces Morgan and Rowan; and countless friends. He is predeceased by his parents, Jim and Eileen; and brother, Jimmy. Rick was a devoted pharmacist at the Barrhead Healthcare Center and lived for the lake lot and his numerous hobbies. Above all, he was a loving husband, dedicated father, and caring friend to all he knew. Our family would like to extend our gratitude to the wonderful staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital's Cardiac Intensive Care Unit for the excellent care Rick received throughout his final days. As per Rick's wishes, a memorial service will not be held. If anyone wishes to donate to a cause in Rick's memory, donations can be made to the Barrhead Healthcare Center Equipment Fund or to the charity of one's choice.

I remember Rick from the lake property where my mom would take my daughter. Such a nice family and always a good friend to my mom and her husband. My mom cannot write a condolence but I know how fond she was of him and would want me to speak for her. Our condolences go out to his family and friends.

I was saddened to learn of Rick's untimely passing. It was my privilege to work with Rick and to visit him at the hospital pharmacy in Barrhead where he provided care and services to cancer clients and their families. It was a delight to interact with him. He was personable and humorous but there was no mistaking his underlying professionalism and dedication to those under his care. My life has been enriched by knowing Rick. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.
