Obituary of Paul Judson Le Doux
Paul Judson Le Doux of Kyle, Texas, formerly of Richmond, Texas passed away May 30, 2019 surrounded by his family. Paul was born on April 1, 1954 in Opelousas, Louisiana. He grew up in Bellaire, Texas and graduated from Bellaire High School. He married his sweetheart, Marjorie, on June 24, 1977, and over the years they welcomed five daughters. Paul began his firefighting career with Houston Civil Defense Volunteers in 1972 and became a career firefighter with Houston in 1978. In 1979, Paul joined the Stafford Volunteer Fire Department to aid his community. In 1989, with the help of his friends, Paul used his interests in construction to move to the Richmond area and build his growing family a larger home. Paul was often seen in the stands of school events recording his daughters’ performances. Several years after moving to the Richmond area, he joined the Pecan Grove Volunteer Fire Department as a firefighter and was later promoted to the rank of Chief. Under his leadership, the department built the much needed Station #2 on the north side of the subdivision. He was proud to be able to assist in the expansion of fire service to the area. Paul retired from the Houston Fire Department in 2012 at the rank of Captain and left the Pecan Grove Fire Department at the rank of Chief. In his retirement he enjoyed football, political talk shows, and his grandchildren, who affectionately called him “Mud”. Paul is preceded in death by his father, Leslie LeDoux. Paul is survived by his wife, Marjorie; his daughters and their spouses, Michelle and Ryan Chupik, Renée and Joseph Gilmore, Brigitte and Eric Johnson, Valerie and Kevin Smith, and Rachelle and Dylan Neiman; 10 grandchildren; his mother, Mildred; his brother and sister-in-law, Les and Arlene Le Doux and 3 nephews. Paul’s memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home in Bellaire, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children - Galveston to continue their work in healing children with life-altering burns.
