Sidney Arlene Outlaw

Sidney Arlene Outlaw of College Station, Texas passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019. Sidney was born on August 16, 1943 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Bryan in 1961, attended Baylor University and was a long time employee at Texas A&M University with Texas Transportation Institute and The College of Science. She also worked in Real Estate, was “Proprietress” of The Wheelock Prairie Bed and Breakfast in Wheelock, Texas and worked at The Corner of Time Antique Store in downtown Bryan. Sidney is preceded in death by her parents, Kelsie and James Anderson and Jessie and Wanda Outlaw; two brothers, Jimmy and Michael Outlaw; nephew, James Ross Anderson; and a second mother, Marian Ross Anderson. She is survived by her son, Ray Wiley Stanford III and his partner Teresa Lynn Cannon of Vilas, North Carolina; brothers, Spencer Anderson and wife Deborah of Marshall, Texas, Patrick Outlaw of Porter, Texas; sister, Bonnie Lytton and husband Major of Allen, Texas; nephews, Brian Anderson of Longview, Texas, Ryan Outlaw and wife Ellie of Indianapolis, Indiana, James Cartwright of New Braunsfels, Texas; nieces, Alix, Niki and Keli Lytton all of Glendale, CA; granddaughter, Amanda Michelle VanWingerden and husband Mike; four great-grandchildren, Case, Asher, Isaac and Ella VanWingerden all of Weddington, North Carolina; lifelong friend/sister, Roberta Priesmeyer. Sidney had countless close friends, and loved her High School classmates, and Bible Study friends. Sidney had an enormous faith and love for her Lord. A Celebration of Sidney’s Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. A reception will follow the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude's Research Hospital, Still Creek Boy's Ranch in Bryan, or Central Church of Bryan.
