Barry William Gilmore

Dr. Barry W. Gilmore, DDS – May 2, 1938 – Aug 9, 2019. Passed away peacefully in his own home surrounded by his family. Pre deceased by his wife Barbara Gilmore. Survived by his sons Kevin (Nancy), Chris (Melanie), Shawn (Sue). His Grand Children, Karina, Lindsey, Gregory & Brandon, Great Granddaughter, Leila. His sons’ half-brother Len (Dee Dee) and his partner of 32 years, Lillian. Born in Vancouver & practised Dentistry in Burnaby for 38 years. Barry was a generous, kind-hearted, talented man who was always there for his family, career, and was an accomplished athlete. Barry loved baseball, basketball, skiing, squash, golf, running, hiking and cycling. Lillian & Barry enjoyed many happy years together and travelled extensively. Barry was a loving husband, father, grandfather and partner to Lillian and will be deeply missed by his entire family. At Barry’s request there will be no service. Please, no flowers. If you wish, a memorial donation to Covenant House or a charity of your choice, would be more meaningful to the family.
