OBITUARY
Mr. Ing Bong (John) Ng
March 2, 1936 – October 4, 2019
IN THE CARE OF
Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Ing Bong Ng, dedicated and proud husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and chef.
Ing Bong was born in a small remote village of Canton, China. At age of nine, he lost his beloved mother during the WWII battle between China and Japan. During his teenage years, his passion to care for his friends and family continued.
With support of his immediate family, he made the life changing decision of leaving China, to seek new opportunities in Canada. Ing Bong settled into a simple, yet comfortable life in Vancouver. He married Hang Kuen; they were blessed with one golden son and five loving daughters. To support his family, Ing Bong worked as a chef, 12-14 hours a day, and seven days a week.
He was a happy man, loving his family unconditionally. Ing Bong will be remembered for his honesty, hilarious personality, and infectious smile.
Ing Bong, the patriarch will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife Hang Kuen, five daughters Liana, Belinda (Mike), Barbara (Patrick), Donna (Bruce), Sabrina (Stan), and son Raymond (Jacquelyn). His pride and joy were his thirteen grandchildren that he lovingly adored: Jayson, Nicholas, Kevin, Evelyn, Lohgan, John, James, Christopher, Amanda, Ella, Jacob, Christian and Lia.
“Dad, you have made an important impact on our lives, and we will carry your love in our lives forever.”
