Mrs. Giuseppa Tinebra

TINEBRA, Giuseppa Josephine Giuseppa Tinebra passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital, in Calgary, Alberta on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at the age of 84 years. Josephine came to Canada in 1965. She was apart from her husband for one year as he was busy finding work and preparing a Canadian Home for his family. Josephine was born in Castrofilippo, Italy in 1934. She had a wonderful life and spent her time caring for her husband and two children. She loved to embroider and was an extra hard worker, working for the same sewing company for 30 years. She took care of her husband, Carmelo, until his death in 1996, then lived to enjoy her two girls and grandchildren until God called her back “home”. Josephine is survived by her daughters, Joanne and Angie; Son-in-laws, Kevin and Keith; six grandchildren, Julia (Jeremy), Philip, Robert (Kim), Lauren, Paul and Cameron; and six great-grandchildren, Carmen, Emily, Lucas, Karis, Ethan and Baby Ball on the way. She was predeceased by her husband, Carmelo; one sister; and her parents. A Funeral Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4th Street NW, Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery), on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada .
