Gordon James MacPherson

Passed away peacefully in his sleep at Pinehaven Nursing Home on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Brenda for 58 years. Loving father of David Killips (Dianne), Kimberley MacPherson, Kelley Mazda (Jason) and Kerrie-Lee Morelli (Michael). Proud Papa to 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Gordie will also be lovingly remembered by his brothers, Forbes (Flo) of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and Calvin (Sharon) of St. Catharines, Ontario and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Dan and Margaret MacPherson and brothers Donny, Blair and Gary. Gordie enjoyed more than 20 years of retirement from the Scarborough Board of Education. He was well loved by many people for his great sense of humour, good nature, cheerful disposition and his encouraging “two thumbs up” for everyone. He was very proud to have been a part of A.A. for more than 30 years, especially the ‘A Vision for You’ Group. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, a donation in his memory to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated by his family. “Who puts the breeze in the trees?
