IN THE CARE OF
T. Little Funeral Home & Cremation Centre
With sadness and heavy hearts, we announce that Ilda Amelia Medeiros passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the age of 93.
Ilda was a classy, elegant, and independent woman who loved to have fun and joke around. Her conversations were animated with hand gestures and facial expressions. She was also spiritual, feisty, and loved fashion. While shopping was her favourite activity, she also enjoyed sewing, cooking, and gardening, and was passionate about singing and dancing at every opportunity. Now in heaven, Ilda has been reunited with her beloved husband Guilherme Medeiros. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children Bill Medeiros (Jackie) and Maria Medeiros-Charters (Phillip), grandchildren John, Andrew, Vanessa, and Isaac, her special nephew Louie Camara (Candy) and their daughters Lisa and Janet, and many more nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was predeceased by her siblings Manuel, John, Beatrice, Teresa, and Maria Amelia (Mariano). Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation at T. Little Funeral Home (223 Main St., Cambridge) on Friday, February 15th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Clement’s Church (745 Duke St., Cambridge) on Saturday, February 16th at 11:00 am. Entombment at Mount View Cemetery will be completed in the spring. The family would like to thank all the staff at Marian Residence Retirement Home for their wonderful, affectionate care of Ilda over the years, and also Innisfree House for their compassion and comfort during Ilda’s last days. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Ilda’s memory may be made to Innisfree House.
