Joan Rooney

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on March 11, 2019 at Stirling Heights Long Term Care at the age of 84. Predeceased by her parents Lillian and Hugh, her sisters Betty, Hilda, Eileen, Doreen and her brother Bruce. Will be dearly missed by Joe, her brothers Michael and Larry as well as her sisters Nanci, Patti and Barbara. Loving mother to Rick (Nicole), Dennis (Marina), Nadine (Gary) and Cindy (Rick). Devoted Nana to Jeremy, Tim, Chad, Dennis and Mark. Cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Trinity Anglican Church Saturday March 16th at 11:00 am with a reception to follow at Stirling Heights Long Term Care from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm. We are very thankful to all the staff at Stirling Heights Long Term Care for all the loving care and support that was shown. We will be forever grateful. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson's Foundation or Stirling Heights Long Term Care would be appreciated.
