Patsy Jean Birckhead Buck

Patsy Jean Birckhead Buck, 74 of Charlottesville, passed away peacefully at the Hospice House Tuesday, June 4, 2019. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Robert (Butch) Buck, her parents Lillie Cash Birckhead and William (Willie) S. Birckhead and brother-in-law, David Varner. She is survived by her daughter Stacy Lee Buck Casaday and her husband Daniel (Danny) and her beloved grandsons, Tyler and Austin. Also left to cherish her memory is her sister, Lily Mae Birckhead Varner. Her nephews, Michael, Jeffrey, Shawn and niece Meagan and devoted friends, Brenda Deane and Kathy and Basil Boone. Patsy was retired from the Virginia ABC where she was employed for 32 years. She attended Belmont Baptist Church and was a member of the Paschall Sunday School Class. Family will receive friends 6:00 to 7:00p.m. Monday, June 10, 2019 at Teague Funeral Home 2260 Ivy Rd. A graveside service will be held 11:00a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Monticello Memory Gardens 670 Thomas Jefferson Pkwy. Charlottesville. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Brenda Deane, her companion and caretaker for the past few years. Special thanks also to the staff and volunteers at the Hospice House for making her comfortable during this final chapter of her life.
