Essie M. Kenyon

Essie Muretta Kenyon, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on Thursday August 8, 2019. She was born in Gracemont, Oklahoma on April 9, 1929. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Ruby May Cumins, her father, James L. Cumins, her sister, Aline Cumins, her brothers, Marvin L. Payne, Cecil W. Cumins and her grandson, Gary W. Kenyon Jr.. Essie is survived by her brother James Calvin Cumins, sister Vera May Owens and her sons, Dennis L. Kenyon, Joseph D. Kenyon Jr. and Gary W. Kenyon; her granddaughters, Sherry D. Kenyon, Jennifer L. Reap, Shannon Easter, Renee J. Kenyon Sabo and Jessica L. Martin and her grandsons, James D. Kenyon and Travis L. Kenyon. Essie was a barber for many years in Pueblo and Colorado Springs. She loved spending time on her front porch with her dog, Patches. She enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. Her main interest was tending her outdoor roses and indoor flower garden.
