Bunny Hinze

Bunny Ann Halliday was born in Lidgerwood, North Dakota on July 6, 1933 at 10:00 a.m. She weighed in at 7 pounds. Bunny was welcomed into the family by her two older sisters, Mary Ellen and Betty and older brother Charles. Bunny lived in Lidgerwood, North Dakota until she was 2 years old, when the family moved to Hebron, North Dakota in November 1935. In 1940 the family moved to McKinley Street in Kellogg, Idaho, a city in the Silver Valley of Shoshone County, Idaho, in the Idaho Panhandle region, that was famous for it’s silver mine. Bunny and her family moved to Stibnite, Idaho in June 1943. A brand new 16 bed hospital had just been built there and Bunny’s father, Arthur Halliday, had been hired as it’s first physician. Stibnite was another mining town whose ore was of antimony and tungsten, strategic metals for World War II, the largest percentage of which were produced in Stibnite. Bunny and her family moved to Nampa, Idaho in 1946, where she completed Junior and Senior High School. Bunny graduated from high school in 1950, one year earlier than expected by testing out. During High School, some of the boys from a neighboring small town would come over to Nampa to attend the dances. It was at one of these dances Bunny met Clint Wheeler whom she would marry shortly after graduation. Bunny married Clinton Jacob Wheeler “Clint” in August 24, 1950 in Winnemucca, Nevada. They made their home on the Wheeler Farm in Meridian, Idaho. The farm had no indoor plumbing. Their first daughter, Debra Ann Wheeler was born November 1, 1951. After Debra’s birth they moved to Klamath Falls, Oregon with Bunny’s brother, Charles, so Clint and Charles could attend Oregon Technical Institute. After completion of school they moved to Nampa, Idaho where their second child, Clinton Arthur Wheeler was born on December 6, 1953. After Clint was born, Bunny attended X-Ray Technician School in Boise. Bunny and Clint are divorced on March 4, 1955. After completing her Technical school she begins working at Mercy Hospital in Nampa, Idaho as an X-ray technician. Bunny begins hanging out at the Buffalo Club in downtown Boise that has a live band playing. She meets the lead singer and trumpet player of the band, Ray Crawford, and soon they are married. Bunny marries Leonard Ray Crawford, “Ray”, on May 6, 1956 in Boise, Idaho. In addition to her own children, Debbie and Clint, she now has two step-children, Steve and Angie Crawford. Bunny and Ray have a daughter, Paula Rae Crawford, born on October 8, 1958. After Paula’s birth, Bunny worked as a secretary for a sundries center in Boise. Bunny, Ray, Debbie and Paula leave Idaho and move to California in the summer of 1967, as Ray receives a teaching position there. Bunny’s son, Clint, chooses to remain in Idaho with his Dad. Bunny’s daughter, Debbie will move back to Idaho to her Dad and Brother after one year. Bunny becomes a blonde!!! After moving to California, Bunny gets a job working as a medical assistant for a Pediatric Cardiologist, Dr. Ivan Hunter Crittenden. Bunny and Ray are divorced in October 1969. Bunny marries Robert Alvin Hinze “Bob” on December 29, 1970 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bunny becomes a Step-Mother again to Bob’s daughter, Druscilla Linnea Hinze, “Dru”. Bunny becomes a Grandma with the birth of Debbie’s first daughter, Terrill Ann Forrey on August 17, 1970, followed next by Jeffrey Brian Forrey, born to Debbie on August 16, 1974. Bunny becomes a Great-Grandmother with the birth of Grandaughter, Terrill Ann’s daughter, Deanna on 4/4/88. Bunny’s other great-grandchildren are David “DJ”Price, Hannah, Emma and Jacob Forrey, Rachel and Ethan Palumbo, Nevaeh and Cosby Sutter, Tommy and Piper Forrey. Bunny’s great—great Granddaughter, Deanna Price, gives birth to Parker on February 27, 2012, making Bunny a great-great-great-grandmother, followed by the birth of Harley Ann on May 24, 2018. Rest in Peace dear Mama, Grandma, and GG. You will be forever loved. Bunny loved traveling with Bob in the motorhome. They had many grand adventures together over the years. Bunny loved playing her organ and took lessons for many years. Bunny loved collecting dolls and making and decorating miniature doll houses. Bunny enjoyed doing needlepoint and made many fine pictures. Bunny loved her cats. She and Bob had 2 Himalayan cats, Fluffi Soo and Muffin Too. In later years, Bunny’s daughter, Paula loaned her cat, Cozy, to Bunny to keep her company. Cozy (19) was her constant companion and was at her side when she passed away.
