Maynette Cregeen

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Maynette Cregeen will be held Thursday at 1:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church. Family will receive friends from 12 noon until service time in the church sanctuary. Maynette died on September 16, 2019 at Mississippi Care Center. She was born on September 3, 1944 in Corinth to the late Floyd “Sausage” and Mahenry Brawner McEwen. She was a 1962 graduate of Corinth High School. She worked many years for the West Corinth Elementary School as an assistant teacher and helped with directing traffic. She also worked in the nursery at First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Donnie Cregeen; sons, Bart Cregeen, Ben Cregeen, and Ned Cregeen all of Corinth, MS; grandchildren, “the buddies”, Kirstyn Cregeen, Abbie Grace Cregeen, Caylee Claire Cregeen, Brawner Cregeen, Megan Cregeen, Annie Cate Cregeen, Sarah Bart Cregeen and Sadie Lain Johnson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Cregeen. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
