Margaret A.L. Summers

It is with sad hearts we have to say goodbye to a Mother, a sister, a grandmother, and a great grandmother. Margaret Passed away peacefully at home in Courtenay B.C. surrounded by family. Margaret is survived by her sons Robert (Deb) of Winnipeg M.B, Carl of Courtenay B.C, and James of Vancouver B.C; Her daughters Beverly (Charlie) of M.B, Cheryl (Brett) of Calgary A.B and Cindy (Jim) of Courtenay B.C; Her brother Brian (Beverly) of Calgary A.B. Margaret also leaves behind 13 grandchildren Shawna Faye, Dale, Robyn, Ivor, Lloyd, Christine, Cass, Kathleen, Darius, Caitlin, Ashley, Christina and Alex; and 8 great grandchildren Johnathan, Jason, Sabrina, Morgan, Sasha, Maggie, Drake, Nolan, Sophia and Zara. Margaret had many friends across the island, her in-laws Linda (Gene) and Gail of Port Alberni , Dorthy, Mark, Daniel of Sayward, Karin of Courtenay and too many more to name. She is predeceased by her daughter Lana in 2011, and her husband Floyd in 2017. We would also like to thank all the home care support workers who came in daily to help with her care and the hospice society for their help as well. She will be greatly missed by all. At Margaret’s request there will be no service but a celebration of life in late August for the family.
