John Edgar Strange

John Edgar Strange departed this world Sunday October 6, 2019, at the age of 74. John was a long time resident of Anchorage, Alaska. He and his wife moved to Craig 14 years ago. John was born in Longview, Washington and raised in Kelso, Washington, and also spent some of his childhood years in Craig with his grandparents. He was a graduate of B.S. Accounting at the Alaska Charter College. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He loved hunting and fishing. He loved his family dearly, and loved going to church and loved his country. Surviving John are his wife, Lucila, their two children. John Strange III and daughter Sophia Strange of Anchorage, Alaska and their 4 grandchildren, and 5 of his siblings, Sharon Mask of Tottle, WA, Elton Strange and wife Marikyn of Kelso, WA, Mitchell Strange and wife Maria or Arizona, Louise and Roger Wingert of Boise, ID and Diana and Sonny Slinker of Washington, and plenty of nephews and nieces, whom he dearly loved. John was preceded in death by his grandparents, and his parents Wieford and Josie Strange. Memorial Service will be on Friday, November 15th at 11:00 AM, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Finley Lane, across from the Moffat County High School, with Bishop Romney officiating.
