Daniel Martin Millet

Daniel Martin Millet passed into God's presence in his sleep Sunday afternoon June 9, 2019. He valiantly fought a form of blood cancer for many years, and finally succumbed to the disease. He was a graduate of Southern Methodist University where he taught for two years before joining his father and brothers in the family business, Millet the Printer, Inc. The Plano Pacers Running Club established the Millet Mile race to recognize Dan for his help building the club. Dan was President of the Plano Pacers and President of the Cross Country Club of Dallas, now Dallas Running Club. He also served as Race Director for the Dallas White Rock Marathon. Dan was a member of Redeemer Bible Church Dallas. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Bruce Millet, brother, David L Millet and parents William P. and Margaret Millet. He is survived by his wife Jean Farris Millet, brother, William E. Millet and wife LoEtta Millet, and many nieces and nephews. Viewing and visitation will be Friday June 14 from 4pm to 7pm. A memorial service will be held Saturday June 15 at 12 noon. Both will be held at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX 75225. Donations may be made in Dan's honor to Dallas Theological Seminary, Redeemer Bible Church Dallas, or North Texas Bassett Hound Rescue.
