IN THE CARE OF
Singing Hills Funeral Home
Larry James Willis was born on February 5, 1962 to the
proud parents of James L. Willis (deceased) and Lena B. Willis.
He grew up in Dallas, Texas, attended Community Bible Church,
and graduated from South Oak Cliff High School.
Soon after graduation he enlisted in the United States Army.
After leaving the military he returned to live in Dallas.
He worked at Kroger, he went to trade school and became a
truck driver. He also worked at the Elite News Publication.
Larry became a believer in Jesus as his Savior. If you asked him
how he was doing he would say, “I’m blessed”. Another of his
sayings was, “man, it blows my mind that God could love me so”.
He had a generous heart and was constantly trying to find
Someone he could do something for.
The Lord has called Larry home, but there are many loved ones
who will miss him. His mother (Lena), grandmother (Olee),
aunts (Geneva and Birdie), uncle (Theo) brothers (Kenneth and
James Jr), sisters (Debra, Everta, and Joyce) and many nieces,
nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
Larry James Willis transferred from this life to eternal life on
May 29, 2019
