Patsy Oldham Sparr

Friday, June 7, 2019, Patsy Oldham Sparr peacefully went to her Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 88. A beloved great-grandmother, grandmother, mother, sister, Pat was born on March 12, 1931 in Dallas, Texas to Ingeberg Johnson Oldham and J. Bryan Oldham. Pat grew up in Lakewood and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and the University of Texas at Austin. She returned to Dallas where she raised her children and attended Highland Park Presbyterian Church. An entrepreneur, she started and owned her own medical paging and answering service for 42 years. She loved reading and traveling with her children. She is survived by her children, Sharon Ingram (Darrell), Sandi Carrington, Richard Arthur Sparr (Jennifer), her brother, Charles W. Oldham, her grandchildren Jay Ingram (Kelly), Jessica Ingram Piland (Spencer), Chrissie Carrington Thompson (Derek), M.C. Carrington, Mallory Sparr, Richard Sparr III, Wesley Sparr; great-grandchildren Ben & Caroline and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Betty Little. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church Duncanville on Tuesday June 11, 2019 at 10:00am. A reception will follow. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church Duncanville.
