Ruby Garibay Hernandez

Ruby Garibay Herandez, 89, of Sterling, Colorado, passed away on September 27, 2019 in Mesquite,Texas. Rosary will be recited at 10a.m Friday October 18th at St Pius X Church, located at 3030 Gus Thomasson Rd, Dallas TX. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30a.m. Inurnment will take place at Calvary Hill Cemetery, located at 3235 Lombardy Ln. Dallas, TX at 2:30p.m. Ruby G. Hernandez was born in Sterling, Colorado to Rafael and Guadalupe Vargas Garibay in October of 1929. She graduated from Manual High School in Denver Colorado and moved to Texas with her husband Emilio Lopez who was serving in the Marines at the time. Emilio preceded her in death in 1976. After which, Ruby remarried to Antiono Hernadez who preceded her in death in 1994. For 25 years, Ruby worked as an assembly lead for Texas Instruments until she retired in 1989. In retirement, she was very active in her favorite hobbies, such as dancing, reading, sewing and painting. Ruby also became involved as a volunteer serving as secretary with the board of directors for Angles R Us and President of the St. Pius X Guadalupanas for 4 years remained an active member in the church until her health started to decline. Ruby is preceded in death by Mother and Father: Rafael and Guadalupe Garibay; Sisters: Virginia Lopez, Concetta Arndt, Brother: Manuel Garibay; First husband: Emilio Lopez; 2nd husband: Tony Hernandez. Ruby is survived by her daughter: Rachel; Son in law: Paul Lecorchick; Grandchildren: Anthony and Alena Lecorchick; Sister: Helen (Frank) Ankele; Sister: Angelina Bacca; Brother-In-Law: Lawrence (Rosemary) Lopez many nieces and nephews and a host of friends .
