Linda May Smart

SMART, Linda May – 67, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully March 8, 2019 surrounded by her loving family in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of Florence “Maddy” (Parker) and the late Robert Keith Smart. Linda loved most sports and enjoyed playing cards regularly with her family. She was a very competitive card player! She was extremely devoted to family and in particular her great nieces; Rebecca, Reaghan, Ella, Grace and Katherine; all of whom she babysat through their early years. She loved all the children dearly. She is survived by her sisters; Nancy (Don Sims), Irene (Bob MacMillan), Donna Smart, Brenda Smart, brothers; Bob (Deb), Donald (Lina), Brian, David (Helene), many nieces and nephews, great nieces & nephews and two great great nieces. She was predeceased by sister in-law Cathy Smart, wife of Brian. Cremation has taken place; visitation will be on Friday, March 15, 2019 from 10 am – 11 am with a Celebration of Life service at 11 am in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home. No flowers by request.
