Sharon Ann Pye

Sharon passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 9th surrounded by her family after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer. Sharon was the only daughter of the late Allenby and Wilma Wadden (of Glace Bay) and the last surviving member of her family. Sharon is survived by the love of her life, her devoted husband, Lawrence "Lonnie"; son, David; daughter, Dale (Tom) and beautiful grandchildren - Katie, Rias, Hunter, Evan, Lilly and Ethan and very special brother-in-law, Archie Pye (Debby). Sharon was predeceased by both parents; her brothers, Allenby Jr. and George Sr. and her precious granddaughter, Olivia "Miss O" (11:11). All her life, Sharon devoted herself to her family and helping anyone who came to her in need, never turning away a person or animal alike. Sharon spent 20 years in the nursing profession followed by 19 years with the Hudson's Bay Company. Spare time was spent with her beloved husband in their flower gardens or sitting on the deck talking, sharing and reminiscing about their beautiful life together. Cremation has taken place under the direction of A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home. Online condolences can be sent to [email protected].
