Winifred Bell

BELL, Winifred L. “Win” Aka the “Tambourine Lady” – 91, of Dartmouth passed away October 18, 2018 in Oakwood Terrace. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late David and Frances (Ross) Diggs. “Win” spent time setting up homes in Montreal, Quebec and London, Ontario where she developed special and long lasting friendships, sharing and spreading her love for the Lord! She is survived by her sons, George and Troy, daughters, Barbara, Frances, Gloria, Rose and Rhonda, brother, David, sisters Mary and Ada, 19 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, eight great great-grandchildren, God daughters, Beverly Wyse and Mesije James, God son, Barry Thomas, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth “Pops” Bell, siblings, Pearl, Harold, Vera and John, daughters, Claudia and a baby in infancy. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 25, from 12 – 1pm with a funeral service at 1pm in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home 217 Portland Street. Pastor Ogueri Ohanaka. Burial will take place in East Preston United Baptist Church Cemetery, In lieu of flowers donations Oakwood Terrace or a charity of choice.
