Raymond L. Turner

Raymond L. Turner, 65, of Blue Grass, formerly of Clinton, died Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at his home. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm, Friday, December 9, 2011 at The Runge Mortuary. Cremation rites will be accorded after visitation. There will be no funeral service. Memorials may be left to the donor’s favorite charity. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com. Raymond was born January 17, 1946 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of William and Marie (Krogman) Turner. He served in the Marine Corps during Vietnam. He was united in marriage to Karen Ketelsen July 5, 1967 in Morrison, Illinois. He was a line crew foreman for Interstate Power Company (Alliant Energy) in Clinton. He was a business representative for IBEW Local 949. He retired in 2006. Raymond enjoyed hunting, fishing and football. Those left to honor his memory are wife of 44 years, Karen; children and spouses and grandchildren Tim (Melissa) Turner, daughter Abirlan, Tom (Susan) Turner, daughter Stephanie, David (Tami) Turner, daughter Breanna and son Jacob, and Debra (Neal) Rasmussen, son Keegan and daughters Karlee, Kennedy; and brother Charles Turner, Clinton, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.
