Obituary of Anna L. Sepeck
SEPECK, Anna L. age 100, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on October 4, 2019 in St. Leonard’s Memory Care unit. Anna was born on October, 28 1918 in Foster, Ohio, the daughter of John Henry Rudolf “Rudy” and Edna Olga Frieden (Ertel). She was the oldest of ten siblings: Alice (decd.), Albert “Bud” (decd.), Ronald (decd.), Donald (decd.), Edna Mae (decd.), June (decd.) Ruth, Nancy, and Marvin. Anna worked for Delco Products, where she met her future husband. On June 17, 1939 she married her beloved, Stephen W. Sepeck. Anna and Steve raised two dearly loved children, Marcia (Steve decd.) and son Stephen, Jr. (Mary) in a home she and her husband had built in Dayton. For many years, she spent her summers helping her husband in the family’s corner store. Anna was active in her church, Holy Angels, and she loved to spend time caring for her beautiful plants and rose bushes. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling in several leagues, the Donut league at Poelking Lanes on Wilmington and Woodman Lanes on Woodman Avenue. Anna and her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren often gathered together on Sunday to share “Sunday soup”. She loved to look for bargains at garage sales. She was a competitive bingo player who thrilled at hollering BINGO at several Bingo Halls around town. She cherished her seven grandchildren: Michael, Sheila (decd), Sheri (Chris), Steve, Shelly (Chris), Darrin(Amy) and Greg (Krista). She was blessed with the love of eight great-grandchildren: Devin, Gunnar, Gabby, Chloe, Harrison,Emma, Carter and Mikki. She delighted in her independence and could be seen driving around town and shoveling her own snow until she was in her mid-nineties. In her new home at St. Leonard’s she relished in reminiscing about her life with her family and was still active in bingo, group activities, and crafts. She loved her Esther Price candies and ice cream. She liked to keep busy and often helped the staff. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family will receive visitors from 2-5 on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Avenue at Rahn Road, Dayton, Ohio 45429.
