Obituary of Audyne Willogean Pope
Audyne Willogean Pope had a beautiful life. Sweet, gentle and caring her beautiful soul passed on October 6th, 2019 at 10:36pm in Mid West City, OK. She was 91 years old. Born in Elk City, OK on March 9, 1928, the only child to Etta Spence and Audy Ray. Audyne had 2 children and 4 grandchildren. She graduated from Elk City High School on May 19th, 1946. In 1944 during World War II she married Stan Cholewinski and had 2 children, Stan and James. She moved to California in the 1950’s and had a lustrous career selling real estate. She married Harry Chamberlain on March 12th, 1965 with whom she had 4 grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting and made beautiful blankets for everyone. She loved playing bridge, bingo and she loved visiting with friends and family. She enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, Japan and traveled throughout the United States. On October 26th, 2005, she married Edward Pope and moved to Del City, OK. Ed and Audyne had known each other since child hood. She attended Del City First Church of the Nazarene. She celebrated her 90th birthday and had a reception at the church. She is survived by her son James of San Antonio, TX; 4 cousins, Della DeHeart of Clinton, OK; Sandra Spence Tracy of Dallas, TX; Dean Spence of Missouri; George Spence of Las Vegas, NV; 4 grand children, Linda Chamberlain of Los Angeles, CA; Jerry Chamberlain of Upland, CA; Monica Diaz of West Covina, CA and Marc Chamberlain of Los Angeles, CA. A heart felt thanks from the family to Brenda and David Robertson for their loving care and assistance, warm friendship and strength they provided during her difficult times. Family wishes to thank the staff of Fountain Brook Assisted Living Center, all her friends and pastor at Del City First Church of the Nazarene. Her beautiful spirit and smile will be remembered and missed by all. Friends and family are invited to a visitation on October 8th, 2019 from 4-8pm and a service will be on October 9th, 2019 at 2pm at Del City First Church of the Nazarene. She will be buried at Rose Hills in Whittier, CA.
