Betty J Newsome

Born on June 9 to 1934 to Frank and Mertel Bradshaw in Stidham, OK. She went to Stidham Public Schools. Betty worked at the Beach Plant. After completing High School, she met her soon to be husband Richard, who had just gotten out of the Air Force. Richard married Betty in Feb 1955 and they welcomed their daughter Leslie on December 16, 1955. After moving to many different times; Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama. They finally decided to call Oklahoma their home in 1960. In 1963, Richard and Betty had their son, Alan Newsome. Betty loved her husband, daughter, sons and her home very much. She loved to garden. She had a flower garden and a vegetable garden. Betty retired after 26 years from the Mid Del School system. She loved the beach and to fish for cat fish when all of the work had been done. Betty is preceded in death by her mother, father, husband Richard, daughter Leslie, brothers, sisters and their spouses. She leaves behind her son Alan Newsome. Grandchildren; Sean and Stacy. She will be missed by her many other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
