David J. Slayton

David was born in OKC to Bob and Tilla Slayton. He married Mary in 1973 and together raised John and Lindsay in Del City. After HS, David was a lake ranger until graduating from UCO with a BA in Criminology when he moved to the County Sheriff’s Office and later Prob/Parole. His passion for teaching led him to Job Corps and OKC Public Schools. He was most at peace when near the lake and enjoyed fishing and boating. David is preceded in death by; his parents, sister Carla and brother Larry. He is survived by wife Mary of Del City, children John Slayton of Del City and Lindsay Evans of Moore and sister Sherri of Eufaula. Grandchildren: Travis, Taylor, Kim, Julieanne, Mikalann and Kennedy. Great Grandchildren: Avery and Liam Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Fri. May 10, 2019, at the Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel.
