Obituary of Floyd Webster Frost
Frost, Floyd Webster, age 87, of Little River passed away peacefully with his daughter by his side and in the care of Digby General Hospital June 4, 2019. Adored by his family and friends, Floyd was a son of the late Webster and Wilda Frost. He will be lovingly missed by daughter, Joanne (Mark) Frost-Trimper; son, Martin Frost; son by choice, Roy Frost; sister, Wilda (David) LeBlanc (Yarmouth); brother, Delbert Frost (Ontario); grandchildren, Charmaine (Cory) Anderson, Jarrett Frost; special grandchildren, Princess Peanut and Mr. Handsome; great granddaughter, Ava Anderson who he was very proud of; many nieces and nephews. Floyd will be remembered as a warm hearted man who would do anything for anyone and his huge heart of gold endeared him to family, friends and neighbours. Open, kind and always keeping busy, he had many hobbies and interests with the best being his love of carving original creations out of wood – his kitchen table piled high with tools, brushes, files, paint, things needing a fix – each item accounted for and evidence of what he loved – and of course Scotch Mints! He hunted, fished, loved to work his woodpile, the fishing industry and spending time with good buddies, Nelson Titus and Delroy Frost. His pleasures in life were found in the simple things; a hot Tim’s, boston cream donut, gingersnaps, tea, coconut cream pie, attending local events like Wharf Rat Rally, Lobster Bash, Scallop Days and enjoying every fireworks. While he will be remembered for his love of us all, his animal pets, Beibs and Cooper, will miss his loving affection, too. Floyd kept a special friendship with Reta, his niece, and Georgina Frost, the mother of his children. Besides his parents Floyd was predeceased by brothers, Gilbert, Calvin, Elmer; sisters, Gertrude and Helen. Celebration of Life will be 3 pm, Saturday June 8th at Jayne's Funeral Home, Digby. Officiated by Diane Axent, Celebrant. No flowers by family request. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff on the medical floor at Digby General Hospital for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the TLC Animal Shelter or Digby General Hospital.
