Harold "Wayne" Baker

Sadly we announce the passing of Harold “Wayne” Baker from Gulliver's Cove. Wayne passed away on February 13, 2019 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital at age 68. Born in Kentville, he was a son of the late Franklin and Marion (Acker) Baker. Wayne loved his children and grandchildren very much. He was a hard worker who enjoyed the fishing industry. He was always willing to give anything to anyone, including the shirt off his back and never ask anything in return. Everyone who knew Wayne will remember his smile, generosity and with a bottle of Alexander Keiths in his hands. Harold is survived by daughter, Shelly Baker (Todd Schnare), Plympton; son, Harold Baker (Trena Miller), Digby; grandchildren, Jenny Ramsay (Daniel Maas), Maria Baker, Nickolie Schnare, Jakeup Schnare, Brodee Schnare; great-grandchildren, Jet Manzer, Aliyah Baker, Cali Maas; girlfriend, Charlene Johnson; siblings, Linda (Terry), Smith's Cove; Kathy (Richard), Digby; Tony, Lequille; Valerie (Brett), Digby; Kevin (Cindy) Gulliver's Cove; mother of his children, Mary Baker and many nieces and nephews Besides his parents Wayne was predeceased by brothers, Stephen, Ricky and Franklin in infancy, A celebration of Life Service will be 2pm at Jayne’s Funeral Home on Thursday February 21, 2019 with Mr. David Taylor presiding. Interment will take place in Rossway Anglican Cemetery. Donations in memory of Wayne can be made to Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
